Oklahoma State Cowboys Game Notes
Oklahoma State redshirt junior QB Spender Sanders completed 19-of-30 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown, while also carrying 15 times for 82 yards and a rushing touchdown in a 50-44 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday. Sanders (6’1/205) peppered his star wideout Tylan Wallace with 10 targets, including a nicely thrown 27-yard touchdown in the third quarter to give OSU a 41-31 lead. However OSU was so efficient on the ground, averaging 5.6 YPC and rolling up 317 rushing yards, he didn’t need to take too many chances through the air. The redshirt junior signal caller converted 12-of-20 third down opportunities while averaging 7.2 yards per pass attempt as he kept the Cowboys one-step ahead of Texas Tech’s potent offense all game long. Oklahoma State travels Fort Worth, TX to play TCU next Saturday.
TCU Horned Frogs Game Notes
TCU sophomore QB Max Duggan completed 3-of-11 passes for 96 yards with three touchdowns and ran for 61 yards with a score in a 59-23 rout of Kansas on Saturday. This line shouldn’t be possible, but, here we are. Duggan found tight end Pro Wells for two scores, and Carter Ware also found paydirt on a throw from his right arm. The dual-threat quarterback also ran in from 58 yards away to extend the Horned Frogs’ lead to 38-6. Kansas isn’t very good. It was a short day for Duggan which is why that line became a possibility, but it’s still something to stare at. TCU is now 4-4, and Duggan will be under center next Saturday against Oklahoma State in their finale.
