Oklahoma State bounces back
Following a 36-30 loss at Texas two weeks ago, Oklahoma State bounced back last weekend with a 26-13 win at home over Kansas State. The Cowboys are 4-1 on the season, 1-1 in the Big 12, 5-0 against the spread and 3-2 with the under.
The Cowboys are still one of the top offenses in the country, averaging 40.8 points and 532.2 yards per game this season. The defense is giving up 24 points and 380.8 yards per game. Quarterback Spencer Sanders has thrown for 1,043 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 380 yards and two scores this year. Chuba Hubbard has added 938 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Tylan Wallace is the top receiver with 28 catches for 618 yards and six touchdowns. The defense is being led by Amen Ogbongbemiga, who has 42 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Tech struggling to score
Texas Tech has hit a rough patch the last two outings, losing to Arizona and Oklahoma on the road while scoring a combined 30 points. The Red Raiders are 2-2 on the season, 0-1 in the Big 12, 2-2 against the spread and 3-1 with the under.
The Red Raiders are giving up 24 points and 390.8 yards per game. The offense is averaging 28.3 points and 460 yards per game, but an injury to QB Alan Bowman has hampered the team. He threw for 1,020 yards and six touchdowns before suffering a shoulder injury that has him out most of the season. Jett Duffey saw action last week and threw for just 124 yards on 12 of 21 passing. Armand Shyne is the team’s leading rusher with 256 yards and three touchdowns while T.J. Vasher is the leading receiver with 19 catches for 248 yards and two scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Oklahoma State
The Cowboys have hit the over in 11 of their last 16 conference games and in nine of their last 12 games in October.
Texas Tech
Texas Tech has hit the over in seven of its last 10 home games and in 23 of its last 34 games in October.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in their last two meetings and I actually like the under in this one as well despite it being nearly 10 points lower than previous meetings. The Red Raiders are in trouble on offense right now with a backup in that is struggle to complete passes. Oklahoma State actually has a respectable defense this year as well. The Cowboys have been somewhat tame on offense in their last two games and the Red Raiders have more of an emphasis on defense this year, especially with the offense struggling. I think, on the road, Oklahoma State isn’t going to put up 45-50 points. I like this game to be more of a defensive battle than normal.
College Football Week 6 Prediction: Oklahoma State/Texas Tech Under 63.5
