Oklahoma Sooners
The Sooners followed up their 24-3 win over Oklahoma with a 37-17 loss to LSU to finish off the regular season. Jackson Arnold completed 14 of 21 pass attempts for 110 yards and he also led the ground game, taking 17 carries for 75 yards. The defense had 2 sacks on the day, one of them forcing a fumble that was recovered and returned for a touchdown.
Jackson Arnold has already departed the Oklahoma program for Auburn. Freshman Michael Hawkins will be under center. In the few games he played in, he completed 62% of his passes for 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions and had one rushing touchdown. Hawkins was pulled after throwing 2 quick interceptions against South Carolina and Arnold went back in. Tight end Bauer Sharp and wide receiver JJ Hester, who are the leaders in receiving yards, have transferred. The defense will be without some key pieces, as leading tackler Danny Stutsman and safety Billy Bowman opted out to prepare for the NFL draft.
Navy Midshipmen
The Midshipmen put on a dominating performance in the Army Navy game winning 31-13. Blake Horvath completed 4 of 9 pass attempts for 107 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 204 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the other side of the ball Bryson Daily had one touchdown pass with 3 interceptions, and was held to a season low 2.7 yards per carry.

Oklahoma vs. Navy Prediction:
Take Navy +3 in this matchup on Friday. Despite the 6-6 record Oklahoma ranks 2nd in the country against the run allowing just 2.9 yards per carry. However the loss of Danny Stutsman is very significant. He is the leading tackler with 110 tackles on the season. The 2nd highest comes in at just 63 tackles. Navy has one of the best rushing attacks in the country going for 5.5 yards per carry and they will take advantage of the missing linebacker.
On the other side Navy has a solid defense that ranks 33rd allowing 22.5 points per game. Oklahoma will have a freshman quarterback that struggled in the games he started this season to the point that he got benched. Meanwhile he’ll be without their top 2 receiving targets. Navy will have their full squad available and will take advantage of an Oklahoma team that will be missing several key pieces.
Oklahoma vs. Navy Prediction: Navy +3
