Oklahoma Sooners Game Notes
Oklahoma redshirt sophomore QB Spencer Rattler named Pro Football Focus’ number two quarterback. Rattler (6’1″/200) has had his struggles taking that next step this year, but the grades outside of the deep ball have him still really high according to PFF. His grade of 93.7 on all throws that weren’t deep balls (two points higher than second) exemplifies the successes that Rattler has had this year. As the Sooners head into the Red River Shootout on Saturday against Texas, watch for Rattler to air it out a little more deep.
Texas Longhorns Game Notes
Texas redshirt sophomore QB Casey Thompson completed 12-of-22 passes for 142 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Saturday’s 32-27 win over TCU. The victory improved Thompson to 3-0 as Texas’ starting quarterback. Thompson’s numbers took a step backwards today, but it’s important to keep in mind that his offensive line struggled with TCU’s pressure and the Longhorns’ receiving corps dropped multiple passes. In Thompson’s first two starts, the Longhorns scored 15 touchdowns on 17 drives. The 4-1 Longhorns will need the offense in top form next week against Oklahoma.
Oklahoma vs. Texas Betting Prediction

The Longhorns are also 8-2 against the number in their last 10 games as a neutral site underdog.
