On Friday, the school announced that it has reached an agreement with Freeze on a new salary that will pay Freeze $4.3 million starting next season, which is more than a million compared to what he made this season. Freeze’s assistant coaches will also see a significant pay raise.

“This continued investment in Ole Miss football, Hugh Freeze and our football staff shows that we want to excel at the highest level in the SEC and college football,” Ole Miss AD Ross Bjork said in a statement. “I personally look forward to working with Hugh Freeze as we continue to build Ole Miss each and every day. We are grateful that his leadership of our program will be in place for the long term.”

Currently, oddsmakers from BetDSI have Ole Miss as an underdog for its Peach Bowl meeting with TCU. The Rebels are getting odds of -3 points against the Horned Frogs on Dec. 31. The over/under total for the game has been set at 56.5 points.
