View Current College Football Odds

Oregon has been on a tear as of late, as the Ducks have won nine straight games, including a 59-20 victory over Florida State in the Rose Bowl. The Ducks have had all nine of their victories in this streak come by double digits. Oregon is 10-4 against the spread this season and the Ducks have covered the spread in nine straight while hitting the under in three of their last four.

Ohio State has been the surprise team all season. The Buckeyes weren’t expected to be too great when Braxton Miller was hurt, but they won their last 10 games of the season, including a 59-0 win over Wisconsin with a third-string QB in Cardale Jones. The Buckeyes snuck into the playoffs and were big underdogs against Alabama, but beat the Tide 42-35 in the Sugar Bowl. Ohio State is 9-5 against the spread on the season, but they are just 2-3 ATS in their last five. Ohio State is 3-0 ATS in its three games as an underdog this season. The Buckeyes have hit the over in nine of their last 10 games.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Oregon is the favorite in Monday night’s game, as the Ducks are getting odds of -6 points against Ohio State. The over/under total for the game has been set at 74 points (View Matchup). These two last met in 2010, when Ohio State defeated Oregon on the road, 26-17, despite being a 4.5-point underdog to the Ducks.

Bet on College Football National Championship Odds

This game features two really powerful offenses colliding, as Ohio State averages 509.7 yards per game, while Oregon is posting 552.1 yards per game. Statistically, Ohio State has the better defense, allowing just 333.4 yards per game while Oregon allows 421.9 yards per game. However, the key to the game will be if Oregon is able to control the pace of play with their offense, or if Ohio State will dictate the pace of play behind Ezekiel Elliott and their ground game, which averages 262.2 yards per game.
