Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Huskies are 33.5-point favorites to beat the Beavers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 58 points. As of this writing, 69% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Beavers.
Oregon State Beavers
Oregon State redshirt senior QB Conor Blount (concussion) has passed concussion protocol tests and will practice this week as the team prepares for its November 10 game against Stanford. Oregon State HC Jonathan Smith said Monday that Blount cleared concussion protocol ahead of the team’s Nov. 3 game against USC and would have been available if needed. With the redshirt senior given a clean bill of health, Oregon State has a decision to make regarding the spot on the depth chart behind starter Jake Luton. Jack Colletto, Oregon State’s most mobile quarterback, started the Oct. 27 win over Colorado and served as Luton’s backup in the loss to USC.
Washington Huskies
Washington senior QB Jake Browning completed 16-of-27 passes for 194 yards with a touchdown and also rushed for a score in a 27-23 victory over Stanford on Saturday. Browning started out red-hot; completing 7-of-9 passes to start the game, and opening the contest with a rushing touchdown. He threw his touchdown pass on the next drive, but after that, Stanford pressured the heck out of Browning, and he was forced to throw the ball away more often than he’d like. Still, a nice bounceback for the senior after the (probably unjustified) benching last week. Browning gets a week off before taking on Oregon State on November 17.
Betting Trends
Oregon State
The over is 7-0 in the Beavers’ last seven road games versus an opponent with a winning home record.
Washington
The under is 13-6 in the Huskies’ last 19 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Prediction
The over has been a profitable play in Oregon State games thanks in large part to the Beavers shoddy defense. The over is 11-1 in their last 12 road games, is 11-3 in their last 14 games overall, and is 8-3 in their last 11 conference games. Washington has been stagnant on offense a lot this season but the Huskies shouldn’t have any problems pushing the ball up and down the field against Oregon State on Saturday.
