Oregon State vs. Arizona Prediction
Are the Arizona Wildcats laying too many points to a suddenly pesky Oregon State team tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET? Or will Rich Rodriguez’s team roll against the Beavers?
ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Arizona. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Wildcats are 21-point home favorites versus the Beavers after opening as a 20-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 71 but has been bet up to 71.5.

THE PUBLIC LIKES: Arizona. As of Saturday morning, the Wildcats were receiving 66% of the tickets for tonight’s game.
HISTORICAL TRENDS LIKE: Oregon State. The underdog has cashed in five of the last seven meetings between these two teams. The Beavers are also 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 games versus the Wildcats and have covered in six of their last seven games played in Tucson.
WHO WE LIKE: Arizona. This is a lot of points to lay on a team that doesn’t play defense but Oregon State (despite covering the spread in three of its last four games) doesn’t do anything well. The Beavers rank 113th in total defense, 107th in passing defense, 94th in run defense, and 126 in scoring defense, surrendering nearly 40 points per game.
Offensively, Oregon State is averaging a measly 20.7 points per game and 339.9 yards per contest. I don’t know how the Beavers slow down the dynamic Khalil Tate and I don’t see how Oregon State keeps up offensively, even against an Arizona defense that is allowing 32.3 points per contest themselves.
