DJ Uiagalelei got the Beavers back into the win column last week against Utah, passing for 204 yards with a touchdown and interception. The former Clemson quarterback hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations coming out of high school, but he brings a ton of experience, and still possesses useful dual threat ability. Uiagalelei has passed for 1.032 yards with eight touchdowns to four interceptions, and he added 117 yards and five scores on the ground thru five starts.
California Golden Bears Game Notes
Sam Jackson V struggled versus Arizona State despite the final result, only going 12/29 for 130 yards with one touchdown. The former TCU QB hasn’t been asked to do more than game manage, but he’s yet to pass for more than 160 yards in a game, and may struggle if Cal falls behind here against a stiff Oregon State defense. Jackson V has passed for 553 yards with five touchdowns to two interceptions through five games.
