Oregon come into today’s game having won seven straight to improve to 11-1 on the season. Not only do the Ducks have the pressure of winning a conference title, but they have the pressure of winning a spot in the college football playoffs. The Ducks are 8-4 against the spread this season coming into tonight’s title match.
Arizona has went 5-2 since its 31-24 win over Oregon on Oct. 2. Both losses were by a combined 12 points at the hands of USC and UCLA. The Wildcats have won four straight, including their last two being against ranked opponents. Arizona is 5-7 against the spread this season.
Oddsmakers haven’t waivered in their belief in Oregon, as oddsmakers from BetDSI have made the Ducks a 15.5-point favorite against Arizona tonight at 9PM ET on FOX (View Matchup). The over/under total for the game is listed at 74 points. Arizona has won its last two against Oregon and the Wildcats have covered the spread in four of their last six against the Ducks.
There was plenty of offense in the first meetings, as Arizona tallied 495 yards while Oregon posted 446 yards per game. Both teams also had two turnovers and combined for 19 turnovers. The difference in the game was ball control, as Arizona was able to keep Oregon off the field as much as it could, owning possession for 33:32 of the 60 minutes of play. The Wildcats also kept Marcus Mariota from beating them with his feet, holding the quarterback to just one rushing yard.
