According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, oddsmakers like Oregon to score first, as Royce Freeman has been given 5/1 odds to get the first TD, while Marcus Mariota has 6/1 odds to get the first touchdown. Rashad Greene has the shortest odds of a Florida State players, as he has 7/1 odds while Jameis Winston has 15/1 odds. The odds of no touchdowns being scored has been set at 2000/1.
Oregon has produced 77 offensive touchdowns on the season and Freeman has led the team with 17 of them, 16 coming on the ground. He is the leading rusher on the team with 1,299 yards and the team has 37 rushing touchdowns, which makes sense as to why he could be the first one to score. Mariota has 14 rushing touchdowns this year and he is a strong option as he can scramble on a pass play or have a designed run in the red zone.
The Seminoles have produced 51 offensive touchdowns this season and Greene has caught seven touchdowns passes on 93 receptions and 1,306 yards. He is the top receiving target, but it is Karlos Williams that has the most scores, as he has 10 rushing touchdowns while Dalvin Cook has eight. Cook has been given 8/1 odds to score the first TD, while Williams has 10/1 odds.
