The university announced on Thursday that Narduzzi has received a two-year extension with the program, making him the head coach through 2021. The financial terms were not disclosed in the press release.

“I plan to make Pittsburgh our home for a very long time, and we’re glad the leadership at Pitt feels the same way,” Narduzzi said in the release. “It is an honor to serve as Pitt’s head football coach and I’m continuously energized by what we can, and will, accomplish here.”

Narduzzi led Pitt to an 8-4 record in his first season, which included a 6-2 mark in the ACC Coastal Division. The Panthers are currently preparing for the Military Bowl, where they will face Navy.

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Pittsburgh is entering the bowl game as the underdog, as the Pirates are getting 3.5 points against Navy. These two will meet on Monday, Dec. 28 at 2:30PM ET.
