Houston went 6-5-1 against the spread this season, but was just 1-2-1 ATS in its last four games. The Cougars hit the over in three of their last four.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Pitt is the slight favorite to win this game, as the Panthers are getting odds of -3 points against Kansas State. The over/under total has been set at 59 points (View Matchup). These two have not met since 1997, with Pittsburgh getting a 35-24 win over Houston despite being a 3-point underdog.

This game features a pair of stingy defenses, as each allows under 350 yards per game. Both offenses will try to control the game on the ground, but that is really Pittsburgh’s strength. The Panthers will look to dictate the pace of play behind running back James Conner, who has rushed for 1,675 yards and 24 touchdowns to lead the team. Houston is allowing just 136.3 rushing yards per game this season.
