According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Utah is slightly favored in this game, as the Utes are getting odds of -2.5 points against BYU today. The over/under total for this game has been set at 51 points. These two meet today in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl at 3:30PM ET on ABC. The game will be played from Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.

BYU (9-3, 8-4 ATS) hasn’t had the best few weeks. The team saw longtime coach Bronco Mendenhall leave for Virginia and the Cougars then were turned down by Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo. Now the Cougars face an in-state rival in Utah, which is looking to put a good finish on a poor end to the 2015 season. Utah (9-3, 5-7 ATS) started 6-0 but went just 3-3 over the second half of the season. The Utes will be without stud back Devontae Booker in this game because of a knee injury, which puts the focus on QB Travis Wilson. Wilson has thrown for 2,024 yards and 13 touchdowns, but also has 10 interceptions.

On the other side of the field, BYU has had strong QB play from Tanner Mangum, who has thrown for 3,062 yards and 21 touchdowns this season with just seven interceptions. The difference in this game is on defense, where Utah is giving up 253.4 passing yards per game, which ranks 97th in the nation. BYU is giving up just 213.2 passing yards per game, which ranks 50th. Oddsmakers expect good things from both QBs today as Mangum has an over/under of 267.5 passing yards while Wilson has an over/under of 17.5 completions. Mangum has thrown for at least 268 yards six times this season while Wilson has at least 18 completions in five games.
