According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Alabama is the favorite to win the SEC once again, as the Crimson Tide are getting odds of +250 to win. Other short odds to win are Auburn (+350) and Georgia (+550).
Alabama has appeared in the SEC Championship Game nine times, going 5-4 in those contests. The Tide have won the title two of the last three years and are the defending champs. Alabama went 12-2 last season and 7-1 in the SEC. The Tide lost in the playoff semifinals.
Auburn has played in the SEC Championship Game five times, going 3-2 in those five games. The Tigers last played in 2013, when they beat Missouri for the title. Auburn was just 8-5 last year with a 4-4 SEC record.
Georgia is 2-3 all-time in the SEC Championship Game. The Bulldogs last appeared in 2012, where they lost to Alabama. Georgia last won the title in 2005. The Bulldogs were 10-3 last season and 6-2 in the SEC, coming up one game shy of winning the East Division.
