Georgia vs. Auburn Total Pick

Will Saturday’s SEC Championship Game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers fall under the betting total when the rivals have their rematch at 4:00 p.m. ET?

Current Point Spread & Over/Under Total

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under currently sits at 48 points after hitting the board at 51. Auburn, meanwhile, opened as a 1.5-point favorite but the line has moved up to 2.5 at most sportsbooks.

Who is the Public Backing?

As of Thursday morning, just under 60% of betting tickets are on the Tigers to cover the small point spread.

Injury Report: Georgia has two players questionable for Saturday: Defensive tackle DaQuan Hawkins-Muckle (back) and fullback Christian Payne (undisclosed). On the other side, Kerryon Johnson is probable after suffering a leg injury in the Iron Bowl, while Kamryn Pettway remains out with a shoulder injury.

OUR PREDICTION: Auburn continues to prove that it has one of the best defenses in the nation. The Tigers are holding opponents to just 16.4 points per game, which ranks ninth in the nation. They’re also 13th in total yards allowed, 18th in passing yards allowed, and 21st in rushing yards allowed. The Tigers held the Bulldogs to 17 points in the first meeting between these two teams and it’s unlikely that Georgia scores much more than that on Saturday.

The total has fallen under in five of Auburn’s last seven games when playing Georgia and I doubt we see a high-scoring game this weekend in the SEC title game.
