South Carolina Gamecocks Game Notes
South Carolina starting nickel back Keenan Nelson Jr. is dealing with a leg injury and he’s officially listed as questionable for his team’s game against Georgia on Saturday. Nelson had 4 total tackles in South Carolina’s Week 1 loss against North Carolina but hasn’t played since.
Starting Gamecocks slot receiver Ahmarean Brown is nursing an undisclosed injury. He’s officially listed as questionable for South Carolina’s tilt with Georgia this weekend. Brown has 9 catches for 86 yards in 2 games this season.
Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes
Georgia running back Daijun Edwards has missed the club’s last two games with an MCL sprain, and his injury status is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game. Edwards is listed as the second-string running back, but he recorded 769 rushing yards and 7 rushing touchdowns as the backup behind future NFL Draft pick Kenny McIntosh last year.
The Bulldogs might be without one of their better receivers on Saturday as well. Redshirt junior Ladd McConkey has missed the past two games with a back ailment, and he’s officially listed as questionable for Saturday’s clash with the Gamecocks. McConkey was second on the team in catches (58) and receiving yards (762) and tied for the team lead in touchdown catches (7) last season. Georgia backup left tackle Austin Blaske sat out last week’s game with a right knee injury, and he’s officially listed as questionable for this weekend’s game. Blaske played in 9 of 15 games for the Bulldogs last season.
South Carolina vs. Georgia Betting Trends

The over is 9-6 in South Carolina’s last 15 games.
Georgia was 8-7 ATS last season.
South Carolina vs. Georgia Betting Prediction
Georgia and South Carolina play each other every year. In 2019 South Carolina beat Georgia in Athens 20-17 in double overtime in a bizarre game. Since then, Georgia has won the past three contests between these teams 45-16, 40-13, and 48-7. The Bulldogs may have lost a lot of talent to the NFL this past spring, but they’ve simply reloaded by bringing in the #2 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports.com. Georgia also beat their first two opponents by an average score of 42 points per game. While I understand South Carolina is far more talented than Georgia’s first two opponents, UT-Martin and Ball State, I still think Georgia can dominate their neighbors to the north. I’ll lay the points with the defending national champion Bulldogs at home this Saturday.
