Stanford vs. Oregon State College Football Predictions Against The Spread

Stanford vs. Oregon St. Pick

Will No. 20 Stanford cover a three-touchdown spread on the road when it takes on Oregon State tonight at 9PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Stanford is favored on the road, as the Cardinal are getting odds of -21 points against Oregon State tonight. The over/under total has been set at 59.5 points. Stanford has won seven straight meetings in this series, going 6-1 against the spread in those victories. The public is currently putting 73 percent of the wagers on Stanford on the road. Tonight’s game takes place from Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Oregon and will air on ESPN.

Stanford has won four straight games following a 49-7 victory over Oregon two weeks ago. The Cardinal are now 5-2 on the season and 4-1 in the Pac-12. Stanford is 3-3-1 against the spread this season and 1-2-1 ATS on the road. Stanford is averaging 38.1 points and 456.7 yards per game on offense this season. Bryce Love has rushed for 1,387 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead Stanford, but an ankle injury has him questionable for this game. Keller Chryst has thrown for 821 yards with seven touchdowns. Defensively, Stanford is allowing 22 points and 416 yards per game. They have struggled with the run, allowing 195.4 yards per game on the ground.

Oregon State is off to a 1-6 start to the season following a 36-33 loss at home to Colorado two weeks ago. The Beavers are 0-4 in the Pac-12 and have already seen their head coach depart the team, as Gary Andersen resigned a few weeks ago. The Beavers 2-5 against the spread this season, but they have covered in two straight games. Oregon State is allowing 43.7 points and 478.3 yards per game right now. On offense, Oregon State is putting up 21.3 points and 356.6 yards per game. Starting QB Jake Luton has thrown for 853 yards and four touchdowns, but a spinal injury has him out the rest of the season. Darell Garretson is taking his place and has thrown for 580 yards this season. Ryan Nall is leading the offense with 513 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

Bet on Stanford vs. Oregon State

The injury to Love has me cold on Stanford. Without them, this game becomes a lot tougher. Even if he is to play, he may not be 100 percent. Love is the focal point of the offense. Oregon State has looked improved since Andersen left the team. Oregon State is 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 home games and 9-3 ATS in its last 12 conference games. I like the Beavers to find a way to cover tonight at home.
