Stanford Cardinal Game Notes
Brendon Barrow (undisclosed) isn’t expected to play in Saturday’s game against Utah, Jackson Moore of 247Sports.com reports. Barrow entered Stanford’s Week 10 matchup versus Washington State as the team’s top backfield option, as injuries sidelined both Casey Filkins (undisclosed) and Caleb Robinson (undisclosed). However, the sophomore sustained an unspecified injury during the contest, and he’s since been ruled out for the Cardinal’s Week 11 meeting against Utah. If neither Filkins nor Robinson are able to return this weekend, then Danny McFadden would likely serve as the team’s top running back.
Utah Utes Game Notes
Cameron Rising (knee) completed 13 of 25 passes for 151 yards and one touchdown during Saturday’s 45-20 victory over Arizona. Utah pounded the Wildcats into submission with a solid running game, and there wasn’t much for Rising to do. Although he didn’t get much done as a rusher himself, he was able to toss one touchdown in the contest.
