In Tuesday’s release of the latest ranking, Florida State moved from No. 3 to No. 4, with TCU making the jump up. The Seminoles now find themselves on the edge, just in front of No. 5 Ohio State and No. 6 Baylor, with all three teams facing ranked opponents this Saturday. The final rankings will come out on Sunday, and the top four teams will compete in the playoffs.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Florida State currently has 13/2 odds to win the inaugural playoff, while TCU now has 5/1 odds. Alabama comes in with 8/5 odds as the favorite, while Oregon has 5/2 odds.

Florida State is the lone unbeaten in the major conference, but the Seminoles have had their last three games decided by 5 points or less, all to unranked opponents. TCU has won six straight, with four wins by at least 21 points. The Horned Frogs have beaten three teams in the playoff rankings while FSU has two wins against ranked foes this season.
