TCU quarterback Max Duggan has been the driving force behind the Horned Frogs’ offensive explosion early in the year. TCU is averaging 45 points per game, good for 5th in the nation. Duggan is the architect of the offense. He’s third in the country in QBR (90.7) and has a perfect touchdown pass-to-interception ratio (11-0). If that wasn’t enough, Max Duggan has also been terrific running the ball. In TCU’s 55-24 blowout win over Oklahoma last week, Duggan ran for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 5 carries. He’s the third leading rusher on the team behind running backs Kendre Miller and Emari Demercado who are both averaging 7.6 yards per tote on the season. If TCU is going to win and cover this game on the road, their backfield will have to be great on Saturday.

As good as TCU’s Max Duggan has been, Kansas QB Jalon Daniels has been better. Jalon Daniels is leading the nation in QBR (95.6) and has thrown for 983 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He’s completing 68.2% of his passes and has only taken 2 sacks through 5 games in 2022. But what really sets Jalon Daniels apart is his ability to run the ball. Jalon Daniels has run for 80 yards or a touchdown in every Kansas game this season, and he’s gaining 7.2 yards per carry. Jalon Daniels’ 5 rushing touchdowns are tied for the team lead with running back Daniel Hinshaw Jr. Hinshaw suffered what appeared to be a severe hamstring injury on Saturday, so the Jayhawks will rely on leading rusher Devin Neal to carry the load on Saturday.

Their headman Lance Leipold won 6 Division III national championships at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, then went 24-10 in his last three years at the University of Buffalo. He went 2-10 at Kansas last year and has the Jayhawks off to a rousing 5-0 start this season. The important number is that Kansas is 5-0 ATS, which is tied with Arkansas State for the best mark in the country. I think the Jayhawks keep the momentum going and cover the number on Saturday.
