TCU vs. Oklahoma Prediction
Baker Mayfield has an opportunity to have his “Heisman moment” tonight when Oklahoma faces TCU at 8:00 p.m. ET but will the Horned Frogs ruin Mayfield’s chances?
ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Oklahoma. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Sooners are 6.5-point home favorites to beat the Horned Frogs after opening as a 7-point favorite. As for the total, the number currently sits at 61 points after hitting the board at 66.5.

HISTORICAL TRENDS LIKE: The under and TCU. The under is a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Oklahoma and has cashed in five of the last seven meetings overall. The Horned Frogs are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in Norman while the road team has cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams.
WHO WE LIKE: TCU. The Horned Frogs are 13-3 against the spread as a road underdog and have allowed only seven points per game in their last four contests. Outside of Texas and Iowa State, TCU is the only team that plays defense in the Big 12 and the Horned Frogs certainly own the best D in the conference thanks to Gary Patterson. Entering Week 11, the Frogs own the No. 1 defense against the run, the No. 6 scoring defense, the No. 6 defense in total yards allowed, and the 59th defense in passing yards.
Mayfield runs the most dynamic offense in the nation but he will be tested tonight. Plus, can Oklahoma stop anyone? Kenny Hill hasn’t been putting up eye-popping numbers of late but the Sooners are allowing 28.2 points per game, which ranks 76th in the nation. I just don’t see TCU allowing more than 31 points and I don’t see Oklahoma surrendering less than 28. I’ll take the dog.
