Temple Owls Game Notes

E.J. Warner was 22-for-39 passing for 240 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday’s 41-7 loss versus Miami (FL). He also rushed two times for -12 yards and a lost fumble. Warner struggled in Saturday’s loss as he turned the ball over three times (two interceptions and a lost fumble. He now has five touchdowns and five turnovers in four starts this season. His next game is the start of conference play Thursday at Tulsa.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane Game Notes

Braylon Braxton (ankle) didn’t play Saturday against Northern Illinois. Braxton played just eight snaps in Week 1 before injuring his ankle, and there’s no precise date for his return. However, the fact that he was limited in practice earlier this week suggests he might be progressing slowly with his recovery. His next chance to feature will come against Temple on Thursday.

The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Temple’s last 6 games

Temple is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games

The Golden Hurricane is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games

Tulsa is 2-4 SU in its last 6 games at home

Temple vs. Tulsa Betting Prediction

Don’t judge Tulsa but its record or its overall stats. The Golden Hurricane’s two losses came at Washington (43-10) and at home against Oklahoma (66-17). Granted, Tulsa’s two victories also came versus Arkansas Pine-Bluff and Northern Illinois, although it was an underdog versus Huskies and won outright. Temple’s bigger games came against Rutgers and Miami and the Owls weren’t competitive in either matchup. They can’t run the ball and their passing game is meh at best. While Tulsa has its own problems on offense, I expect the Golden Hurricane to pull away in the fourth quarter.

Temple vs. Tulsa Prediction: TULSA GOLDEN HURRICANE -3.5
