Texas Tech Betting Trends
The Red Raiders have covered the spread in four of their last five games dating back to last season. They’re also 5-2 against the number in their last seven road games and are 4-1 against the spread in their last five non-conference games. Texas Tech is 4-0 at the betting window in its last four games versus a team with a winning record, too.
Houston Betting Trends
The Cougars are an impressive 14-3 against the spread in their last 17 games played in the month of September. They’re also 18-6 at the betting window in their last 24 non-conference games but are just 3-7 against the number in their last 10 games overall. They’re also 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games against teams with winning records.

OUR PREDICTION: The Red Raiders might not be able to stop a nosebleed but I love taking underdogs in projected shootouts. Senior quarterback Nic Shimoneky leads the nation in passing yards per game at 463.5 and Tech is also first in passing yards per game at 496.0, as well as total offense at 620.5. I’ll take the points given the firepower that the Red Raiders posses in Shimonek, Keke Coutee, Dylan Cantrell, Cameron Batson, Desmon Nisby and Justin Stockon. In fact, I wouldn’t be shocked with an outright upset.
