Texas Longhorns Game Notes
Bijan Robinson totaled 12 rushes for 29 yards during Saturday’s 17-10 loss to TCU. Robinson’s 29 rushing yards were his lowest output since having five carries for 17 yards at Oklahoma in Week 6 of the 2020 season. Robinson had entered the game with the Horned Frogs with seven straight 100-yard rushing performances, so to see him have this limited of an impact was a surprise to say the least. TCU did not have a problem stacking the box against the superstar runner as Quinn Ewers struggled passing the ball all night long. Texas will play at Kansas next week.
Kanas Jayhawks Game Notes
Head coach Lance Leipold said Monday that Jalon Daniels (shoulder) has been “taking more and more reps. He went today. He’s at the point where he could play at a level that’s going to allow him to play freely,” Matt Tait of the Lawrence Journal-World reports. Daniels has missed each of Kansas’ last four games as a result of a shoulder issue, though he was able to warm up with the team prior to Saturday’s matchup versus Texas Tech. Based on Leipold’s comments, it sounds like the junior quarterback is ready to return and start in the Jayhawks’ Week 12 contest against Texas, but his status is still worth monitoring throughout the week.
