Tulane Green Wave

The Green Wave struggled to close out their season, losing two straight, including a 35-14 loss to Army in the AAC championship game. Darian Mensah completed 17 of 25 pass attempts for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns along with an interception. He also rushed for 41 yards. Makhi Hughes was the lead back with 66 yards. The defense of course got dominated on the ground for 335 yards and 5 touchdowns. Mensah has already committed to Duke and is no longer with the Green Wave. Ty Thompson is set for his first career start, however he will also hit the portal after the bowl game. Thompson completed 6 of 11 pass attempts for two touchdowns this season. However, he is good with his legs as well, averaging 6.1 yards on 40 carries for 6 touchdowns.

Florida Gators

The Gators got hot to end the season, winning three straight games, with the latest being a 31-11 win over Florida State. DJ Lagway completed 14 of 22 pass attempts for 133 yards and two touchdowns along with an interception. Florida found a lot of success running the ball, combining for 235 yards on 38 carries and two touchdowns. The defense had 8 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, and 5 fumble recoveries.

Tulane is 4-3 ATS in their last 7 games

The OVER is 4-2 in Tulane’s last 6 games

Florida is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games

The OVER is 5-5 in Florida’s last 10 games

Tulane vs. Florida Prediction:

Take the Gators to cover the 10.5 point spread in this matchup on Friday afternoon. Florida finished the season strong with three straight wins, two of which were against ranked opponents and one against rival FSU. On the other side, Tulane suffered two tough losses to close out their season and will be playing with a QB that has only thrown 11 passes all season. Billy Napier will return as Florida’s head coach in 2025 and will try to get started on the right foot early, and that’s by dominating in their bowl game. And he’ll have his QB of the future in Lagway leading the offense. The Gators have been battle tested this season, facing off against 5 ranked teams in their last 7 games in the brutal SEC. I think they finish off the season on a positive note and win big on Friday.

Tulane vs. Florida Prediction: Florida -10.5
