Tulane Green Wave Game Notes

Tulane freshman QB Michael Pratt completed 21-of-33 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 35-21 win over Memphis. In his first action since throwing the game-ending pick-6 in Tulane’s Nov. 19 overtime loss at Tulsa, Pratt (6’2/200) responded in a way that HC Willie Fritz had to appreciate. In addition to throwing two touchdown passes and not turning the ball over, the freshman quarterback rushed for another 24 yards and two scores on 17 carries. Pratt’s rushing yardage took a hit thanks to three Memphis sacks (26 yards), but that shouldn’t put a damper on his day. Pratt and the Green Wave now wait to see if they’ll be headed to a bowl game.

Nevada Wolf Pack Game Notes

Nevada redshirt sophomore QB Carson Strong completed 33-of-48 passes for 260 yards and a touchdown in Friday’s 30-20 loss to San Jose State. To his credit, Strong did well to not turn the ball over or really put the ball in harm’s way. Unfortunately, that meant Strong also did very little to press the ball down the field and help put points on the board when he needed to. Strong is usually more willing to test down the field, but the Spartans had some great coverage down the field and Strong did not feel comfortable testing it. Nevada now finish their year 6-2 with a potential bowl game on the way.

Tulane vs. Nevada Betting Prediction

The under is also 8-2 in the Wolf Pack’s last 10 games coming off a loss.
