Knights ease past SMU
A 48-20 victory by UCF last Saturday at home over Southern Methodist moved its record to 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in the American Athletic Conference. The Knights grabbed a 21-3 lead through one quarter and never looked back. McKenzie Milton went 18-for-34 through the air for 278 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He also ran for 17 yards. Adrian Killins Jr. had 20 rushes for 113 yards and a TD. Otis Anderson carried six times for 74 yards and two scores, while also catching one pass for 13. Tigers cruise against UConn
Memphis secured a 55-14 home win over UConn last weekend moved it to 4-2 overall and 1-2 in conference action. The Tigers have won all four of their home games by at least 17 points. Brady White was 16-of-18 through the air for 237 yards and a TD. Darrell Henderson rushed 14 times for 174 yards and three touchdowns. Patrick Taylor Jr. also rushed for three touchdowns as he had 11 carries for 161 yards. Sean Dykes led the receiving crew with three catches for 62 yards. Joey Magnifico had a 44-yard TD reception. Prediction:
Memphis has a good recent home history against UCF and has dominated at home this season, albeit against far lesser opponents. The spread is short in this one with a high total, which should lead to an entertaining game to watch. UCF hasn’t played a road game since its season opener where it hammered UConn, so this will be a true test. I am not ready to bet against the Knights right now as they look ready to embark on another fantastic season. While Memphis might keep it close for a half or three quarters, I think UCF will overwhelm in the end.
PREDICTION: UCF -4.5
