UCF bounces back
After suffering its first regular-season loss since 2016 two weeks ago at Pitt, UCF bounced back last weekend with a 56-21 win at home over Connecticut. The Knights are 4-1 on the season, 1-0 in the AAC, 3-2 against the spread and 3-2 with the over.
UCF has one of the best offenses in the country, as the Knights are putting up 49 points and 568.6 yards per contest. The defense is giving up just 19.4 points and 324.8 yards per outing. Dillon Gabriel is leading UCF this season with 1,388 passing yards and 14 touchdowns. Gabriel Davis is the leading receiver with 25 catches for 499 yards and eight touchdowns. Greg McCrae is the leading rusher with 323 yards and four touchdowns.
Bearcats trying to heat up
Cincinnati is coming off a 52-14 win at Marshall last weekend for its second straight victory. The Bearcats are 3-1 on the season as they are set to begin AAC play. Cincy is 3-1 against the spread and 3-1 with the under.
The Bearcats are led by their defense this season, as they are allowing just 20.8 points and 297.3 yards per game. Offensively, Cincinnati is putting up 27.8 points and 408.8 yards per contest. Quarterback Desmond Ridder is leading the offense with 815 passing yards and eight touchdowns while Alec Pierce has 14 catches for 277 yards and a score. Michael Warren II is leading the ground attack with 262 yards and four touchdowns. Michael Pitts has been leading the defense with four sacks and 16 tackles.
College Football Betting Trends
Central Florida
UCF has hit the under in five of its last six games on fieldturf and in four of its last five games in October.
Cincinnati
The Bearcats have hit the over in four of their last five Friday games and in seven straight following a win of more than 20 points.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in three of their last four meetings. Cincinnati is a pretty solid defensive team and they have been able to keep UCF’s numbers lower than average for the most part. The Bearcats have actually struggled to move the ball against the Knights, scoring 23 or less in the last four meetings, including 13 or less in three of them. The Knights only had 35 points at Pitt two weeks ago, so I would think their total on Friday will be a little tamer. I look for them to be more in the 35-40 range while their defense handles an average Cincy offense to keep the total under.
College Football Week 6 Prediction: UCF/Cincinnati Under 60
