UCF Knights Game Notes
UCF sophomore QB Dillon Gabriel completed 26-of-40 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns in a 51-34 victory over Tulane on Saturday. Gabriel (6’0/186) continues to absolutely destroy every defense in his wake, as this marks his fourth 400-yard passing game of the season. He was locked-on to Marlon Williams today, hooking up with the star senior wideout for three of his five touchdowns. It’s hard to find any fault with his performance, as he was firmly in control of the Central Florida offense all day; converting 10-of-17 third-down opportunities and leading UCF to a gaudy 689 yards of total offense. UCF travels to play Houston next Saturday in what should be an exciting offensive matchup.
Houston Cougars Game Notes
Houston HC Dana Holgorsen said on Monday that he hopes to have redshirt senior RB Mulbah Car (ankle) available for Saturday’s game vs. UCF. Car (6’0/215) injured his ankle during Houston’s October 8 win over Tulane, and he has missed the Cougars’ last two games as a result. According to Holgorsen there was hope that the redshirt senior would be able to play in Saturday’s win at Navy, but it was ultimately determined that Car was not ready. Once back on the field, Car gives Houston additional depth in the backfield alongside fellow redshirt senior Kyle Porter.
