One week after destroying Georgia in its biggest game of the year, will Auburn fail to cover against UL Monroe today with Alabama and the Iron Bowl up next?
ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Auburn. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Tigers are 36.5-point home favorites to beat the Warhawks, who opened as 35.5-point road underdogs. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 68 points after hitting the board at that same number.

THE PUBLIC LIKES: Auburn. Despite this being a potential letdown game, public bettors are still backing the Tigers. As of Saturday morning, 64% of tickets were on Auburn to cover the massive point spread.
HISTORICAL TRENDS LIKE: Auburn. The favorite has covered in five of the last seven meetings between these two teams and so has the home team. The Warhawks are also just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games versus the Tigers and 2-5 at the betting window in their last seven trips to Auburn.
WHO WE LIKE: UL Monroe. Just like the Miami-Virginia matchup, this is yet another letdown spot for a team coming off a huge win. The Tigers thumped the Bulldogs last week and have the Crimson Tide on deck. You’re telling me they’re going to get up for UL Monroe? I just don’t see it.
While there is an obvious talent discrepancy in this matchup, I could see Gus Malzahn’s team getting up by a few touchdowns early and then cruising in the second half, allowing the Warhawks to cover the spread in the end. This isn’t a horrible UL Monroe team, either. The Warhawks are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games, are 5-0 against the number in their last five games played in November, and are 7-1 against the number in their last eight road games when playing a team with a winning home record.
