With Week 1 upon us in college football, is USC quarterback Sam Darnold still favored to win the 2017 Heisman Trophy?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Darnold is a 41/ favorite to take on the Heisman this upcoming season. Ohio State signal-caller JT Barrett has the next-best odds at 17/2, followed by last year’s Heisman winner Lamar Jackson at 9/1. Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma and Saquon Barkley of Penn State are both 12/1, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts and Auburn signal-caller Jarrett Stidham are both 15/1, respectively, to win the Heisman Trophy in 2017. Florida State’s Deondre Francois, meanwhile, is 16/1, as are Washington’s Jake Browning and Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudoph. LSU running back Derrius Guice, meanwhile, is 18/1 to take home this year’s hardware.

Other mid-range long shots include Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough, who is 20/1 to win the 2017 Heisman Trophy. Georgia’s Nick Chubb and South Florida’s Quinton Flowers are both 25/1, respectively, followed by UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen, who is 28/1. Penn State’s Trace McSorley is 30/1.

Finally, Florida State’s Jacques Patrick, Auburn’s Kamryn Pettway, and Texa’s Shane Buechele are all 35/1, respectively. Bruce Love of Stanford and Derwin James of Florida State are 40/1, respectively, followed by Luke Falk of Washington State, who is 45/1.
