USC had little trouble against Hawaii, out-gaining the Warriors 475-264 in total yards. The Trojans forced four turnovers on defense and the offense moved the ball with ease. Matt Barkley threw for 372 yards and four touchdowns on 23-of-38 passing. Marqise Lee caught 10 passes for 197 yards on the day while Penn State transfer Silas Redd rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
The Orange lost on a last-minute TD against Northwestern. Syracuse managed to out-gain Northwestern 596-337 in total yards, but the Orange had three turnovers in the game. One of the turnovers went back for a TD and the Wildcats also returns a punt for a score. Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib had a busy day, as he threw 66 times, completing 45 of the passes for 482 yards and four scores. Marcus Sales caught 12 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown in the process.
In terms of Injuries, Syracuse tight end David Stevens is probable to play despite a lower body injury while receiver Alec Lemon is questionable with a lower body injury. USC cornerback Brian Baucham is questionable for this game with a concussion while Devon Kennard is out with a torn pectoral muscle.
