Utah Utes Game Notes
Nate Johnson is expected to start at quarterback for Saturday’s game versus Oregon State, Josh Newman of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Johnson is set to start in his third straight game while Cam Rising works his way back from a knee injury. Johnson has completed 31-of-49 passes for 398 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 150 yards and three touchdowns on the ground across his four appearances this season.
Oregon State Beavers Game Notes
D.J. Uiagalelei was 17-for-34 passing for 198 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday’s 38-35 defeat against Washington State. He also had nine rushes for 61 yards with one touchdown. Although Uiagalelei did what he could to bring his team back, it turned out to be too little, too late for the Beavers. A bright spot in the quarterback’s stat line was an increased rushing total, a facet of his skill set that was noticeably absent over the season’s first three games. Still, he completed only 50 percent of his passes and needs more consistency to get the Beavers to the next level.

Utah vs. Oregon State Betting Prediction
For all the love that Utah’s defense receives – and rightfully so – Oregon State can play on that side of the ball as well. The Beavers are allowing just 70 yards per game and 2.4 yards per carry on the ground this season. Neither of these teams turn the ball over and while Utah likes to control the clock, what happens when the Utes fail to do so? What happens when their offense is three-and-out consistently? I envision that happening tonight in Corvallis and Oregon State surprising college football fans expecting Utah to cash easily as an underdog.
