Vanderbilt vs. Georgia Prediction
SEC foes meet in Athens, GA this Saturday when Vanderbilt visits the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs.
Despite their recent fumbles against lesser fare, UGA opens at -38.5 odds favorites over a slightly improved Vandy squad. The total for this contest is 52. Can Georgia snap that trend of playing down to its opponent’s level while also moving above .500 ATS?
VANDERBILT GAME NOTES
AJ Swann continued his promising freshman season last week, completing 25 of 32 for two touchdowns and 281 yards. Tailback Ray Davis added 105 of Vanderbilt’s 122 ground yards. However, the Commodores’ reliable offense couldn’t override its defense which allowed 591 yards (481 passing) vs. #9 Mississippi. The recent 52-28 setback places Vandy at 2.4 ATS and 0-2 in SEC play while furthering notions that its Hawaii romp might be a misnomer.
GEORGIA GAME NOTES
Stetson Bennett efficiently managed his time behind center last week, completing 22 of 32 and adding one of six ground scores vs. #25 Auburn. The resourceful Bulldogs chewed up 292 rushing yards to complement a renewed lock-down defense. During the team’s 42-10 rout, Georgia recovered some of its shine following close calls and ATS losses vs. Kent and Mizzou.
Vanderbilt vs. Georgia Betting Trends

VANDERBILT VS. GEORGIA BETTING PREDICTION
After opening 20222 like a motivated national power, including lopsided wins over Oregon and South Carolina, UGA suffered its aforementioned defensive collapses. While those odds losses knocked Georgia to the #2 national spot behind rival Alabama, Bulldog hope was restored last weekend. Vanderbilt’s recent 1-3 struggles also make UGA shine brighter heading into this weekend’s contest. Oddswise, Georgia is 2-2 ATS in its last four starts but has covered the number vs. Vandy since 2017. Under is 1-4-1 this season for KIrby Smart’s men. The over stands 5-1 for the Commodores. That stated, Georgia is hungry to regain its #1 national ranking and should systematically dominate Vanderbilt this weekend.
