Wake Forest Demon Deacons Game Notes
Wake Forest redshirt sophomore QB Sam Hartman completed 19-of-33 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown in a 38-14 win over Syracuse on Saturday. In terms of QBR, this was actually Hartman’s best showing of the season. Syracuse, which has a roster decimated by injuries and opt-outs, simply didn’t have the talent or depth to deal with Wake Forest’s up-tempo machinations. Wake Forest, now 4-2, has quietly run up a four-game winning streak. After a bye week, Wake plays UNC on Nov. 14.
North Carolina Tar Heels Game Notes
North Carolina sophomore QB Sam Howell completed 18-of-27 passes for 235 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in Saturday’s 56-24 win over Duke. He also rushed for another 35 yards and an additional score. UNC, now 5-2, has been up-and-down this year, but you can’t blame Howell, who threw for over 800 yards with a 7/1 TD/INT rate in UNC’s two losses. In sum, he’s completed 67% of his passes for around 10 yards per attempt and a 17/5 TD through seven games in 2020. He should put up big numbers again next week against Wake Forest.
Wake Forest vs. North Carolina Betting Prediction
