According to the latest oddsmakers, Washington is favored on the road, as the Huskies are getting odds of -10 points against Oregon State. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 65 points. The public betting currently has 54 percent going on Oregon State as a home underdog. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NCAAF Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.
Huskies drop another
Washington is coming off a third loss in four games last weekend after falling at home to Utah, 33-28. The Huskies are now 5-4 on the season, 2-4 in the Pac-12, 5-4 against the spread and 6-3 with the over.
The Huskies have been respectable on defense this season, allowing 22.8 points and 375.3 yards per game. Offensively, Washington is putting up 34.9 points and 416.1 yards per contest. Jacob Eason has thrown for 2,297 yards and 20 touchdowns to lead the offense this year while Salvon Ahmed is the leading rusher with 712 yards and seven touchdowns. Aaron Fuller is the team’s leading receiver with 43 catches for 582 yards and six touchdowns. Fuller is questionable for this game due to an ankle injury.
Oregon State pushing for a bowl
Oregon State has won two straight road games over Cal and Arizona to get back into the mix for a bowl game. The Beavers are now 4-4 overall, 3-2 in the Pac-12, 6-2 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under total.
The Beavers are putting up some solid numbers on offense this year, averaging 33.6 points and 431 yards per game. However, the defense has given up 32.4 points and 439.3 yards per contest. Jake Luton is having a very good year with 1,930 passing yards and 19 touchdowns with only one interception. Isaiah Hodgins is his leading receiver with 63 catches for 895 yards and 12 touchdowns. Artavis Pierce is leading the ground attack with 696 yards and six touchdowns, while Hamilcar Rashed Jr. is leading the Oregon State defense with 43 tackles and nine sacks.
College Football Betting Trends
Washington
The Huskies are 5-1 with the over in their last six games following a failed cover and 6-2 with the over in their last eight games in November.
Oregon State
The Beavers are 15-6-1 with the over in their last 22 games as an underdog and 5-2-1 with the over in their last eight conference games.
Prediction:
The Huskies have won seven straight in this series, with Washington putting up at least 40 points in four straight meetings. The difference this year is that the Huskies don’t have the defense we can rely on. The defense has given up at least 27 points in three straight, including 33 to Utah at home last week. Oregon State is showing some skilled offense this year and has limited turnovers. I think at home, the Beavers should find ways to score and make this a competitive game. Washington has the ability to put up big points again on Oregon State, but I think the Beavers can do the same to the Huskies.
