Week 1 Odds: Alabama opens as 5-point Favorite vs. Florida State 9/2/17

Alabama Favored vs. FSU Week 1

Some of the Week 1 college football lines are starting to trickle out, including the spread for the Florida State versus Alabama matchup September 2.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.ag, the Crimson Tide has opened as a 5-point favorite versus Florida State. The non-conference foes will clash on Saturday, September 2 at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia for a Week 1 kickoff classic. The over/under hasn’t been posted yet.

Bet College Football Bowl Games

Alabama has a favorable schedule to potentially reach yet another national title game. The Crimson Tide will not have to play two consecutive road games in 2017 and three weeks after opening the season against Florida State in Atlanta, the Tide will begin conferene play versus Vanderbilt.

Nick Saban’s team will also have consecutive home games against Arkansas, Tennessee and LSU to make up the heart of the Tide’s schedule. Bama then gets a reprieve the week before it faces Auburn in the Iron Bown, as the Tide plays FCS foe Mercer on November 18.

As for the Seminoles, they played one of the toughest schedules in the country in 2016 and things don’t figure to get easier for Jimbo Fisher’s team in 2017. Florida State opens the season against Alabama before playing UL-Monroe and then Miami.

Florida State will also play ACC opponents Louisville, N.C. State and Syracuse at home while traveling to Boston College, Clemson, Duke and Wake Forest.
