West Virginia vs. Oklahoma Predictions Against the Spread 11/25/17

West Virginia at Oklahoma Prediction

Even if Baker Mayfield sits for a quarter or two, will the Oklahoma Sooners cover as a massive home favorite versus the visiting West Virginia Mountaineers at 3:45 p.m. ET?

ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Oklahoma. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Sooners are 23-point home favorites to knock off the Mountaineers, who opened as 21-point underdogs. As for the total, the number hit the board at 66.5 but has jumped a full two points to 68.5.

THE PUBLIC LIKES: West Virginia. As of Saturday morning, just over 60% of tickets for this game were on the Mountaineers plus the points.

HISTORICAL TRENDS LIKE: The over. In the last six meetings between these two teams, the over cashed five times.

WHO WE LIKE: Oklahoma. Mayfield has been suspended for an undetermined amount of time but he will play. The same cannot be said for West Virginia quarterback Will Grier, who is out with a finger injury.

Oklahoma is 10-1 against the spread in its last 10 games versus a team with a winning record, is 9-1 against the number in its last 10 home games and is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games played in the month of November.

The Sooners have everything to play for while the Mountaineers, who are just 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games, are just playing out the rest of their regular season. If Grier were healthy then WVU would carry some value. With him out, I’ll lay the points on the Sooners.
