Western Kentucky vs. LA Tech Public Betting Information
As of this writing, our CFB Public Betting page shows that 76% of public bets are on Louisiana Tech. Note hat these numbers are subject to change and could be different once game time rolls around.
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Game Notes
Austin Reed got WKU back into the win column last weekend with three first half touchdowns, and by going 30/52 for 297 yards. The senior quarterback struggled through his first pair of road starts versus Ohio State and Troy, but he should fare better in this matchup with a lighter Louisiana Tech defense. Reed has thrown multiple touchdowns in four of five starts this season, and he’s passed for 1,368 yards, with eleven touchdowns to two interceptions.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Game Notes
Jack Turner led the Bulldogs to a win over UTEP last weekend, but he didn’t perform particularly well, only going 9/20 for 152 yards and a touchdown. The sophomore quarterback performed admirably against Nebraska, and he’ll need to bring that energy this Friday with WKU’s Air Raid coming into town. Turner has thrown for 590 yards, with three touchdowns to two interceptions through four games.
Western Kentucky vs. LA Tech Betting Trends
Each of Louisiana Tech’s last seven October games as a home underdog have gone OVER in total points.
Western Kentucky has covered the spread in 12 of its last 15 games against conference opponents.
Western Kentucky vs. LA Tech Betting Prediction
Two of the top offenses in the new-look Conference USA will face off this Friday, and we could be in for some points from both sides. Western Kentucky’s early road troubles are alarming, but after getting back into the win column last week, there’s a good chance their aerial attack travels well for the first time this season on Friday. Louisiana Tech’s skill position players will keep them in this game, and they should also be able to find production at home. WKU should win this game, but I like taking the Over for this matchup.
