Kansas vs. Oklahoma Pick
Will Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma run up the score enough for bettors to cash the over this Saturday when the Sooners host Kansas?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Sooners are now 40-point home favorites versus the Jayhawks after opened as a 40.5-point favorite earlier this week. As for the total, the number opened at 67 but has jumped a half-point up to 67.5, which is where it sits now.

Since opening the season with a 55-6 win over Rhode Island, Kansas has lost six-straight games to fall to 1-6 on the year. The Jayhawks haven’t covered many games either, going 2-5 against the spread in 2016. Their lone covers came in that same game against Rhode Island as a 28-point home favorite, and later in the year as a 28.5-point underdog versus TCU on October 8. It’s been another rough season in Lawrence.

The Sooners have rattled off four-straight wins after losing 45-24 to Ohio State in the third game of the season. They have only covered in two of those four games, but continue to scoring at an alarming rate. Last week in Lubbock, Oklahoma racked up 66 points in a 66-59 victory over the Red Raiders but failed to cover as a 16.5-point favorite. The over has cashed in five of the Sooners’ last six games.

OUR PREDICTION: It’s hard to bet against the over right now involving Oklahoma. The Sooners rank third in the nation in total yards per game at 572.4, are seventh in passing yards at 354.6, and are 8th in points scored at 43.9. They’re also not stopping anybody, ranking 115th in the country in points allowed at 36.7. Kansas can throw the ball a little, ranking 46th in passing yards per game at 254.3, but the Jayhawks can’t stop anybody. They’re surrendering 36.9 points per game, so take the over, which is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Norman.
