According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under for number of total wins for the Wolverines in 2015-16 has been set at 8.5. The over currently carries higher odds at -130, while the under 8.5 will pay out even odds to bettors. Per Bovada.lv, conference championships and bowl games don’t count towards the wager.

Late last week news broke that Michigan would hire Harbaugh to be the school’s next head coach. The 49ers had announced following their Week 17 win over the Cardinals that the team and Harbaugh would mutually part ways, leaving him to sign with any pro franchise or college program.

Harbaugh had plenty of success in the college ranks before taking the job in San Francisco. He was 29-6 at the University of San Diego and then went 29-21 at Stanford, which included a 21-15 conference record. In four years as the Niners head coach, he finished with a 44-19-1 record and went 5-3 in the postseason, which included a loss to the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.
