According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Virginia Tech is the clear favorite in this game, as the Hokies are getting odds of -14 points against Tulsa. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 61.5 points. These two meet today at 5:45PM ET on ESPN. The game will be played from Independence Stadium in Shreveport, LA.

The 2015 season hasn’t been what the Hokies (6-6, 6-6 ATS) expected, but the team will certainly have a lot of motivation today as Beamer will end his coaching career after acquiring 277 wins, 235 with the Hokies. Tech is set to face Tulsa (6-6, 6-5-1 ATS), which is looking to spoil Beamer’s farewell and earn a big win on a national stage.

Virginia Tech will have its hands full with the Tulsa offense, as the Golden Hurricanes post 502.8 yards per game this season. The Hokies have a decent defense, but are especially strong against the pass, allowing just 173.7 yards per game. Offensively, Tech will need to improve on its 29-point and 367-yard average. That shouldn’t be a problem against Tulsa, which is 126th nationally in total defense, allowing 531.5 yards per game.
