Wisconsin Badgers Game Notes
Wisconsin climbed three spots to No.10 in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll. Now 2-0, Wisconsin are slowly working themselves up the polls. If not for a postponement / cancellation of a couple games over the past few weeks versus very beatable teams, it is likely Wisconsin would be even higher right now. Alas, until they get some more games under their belt, it will be a slow climb up the polls. Wisconsin may never quite catch Ohio State anyway and it is tough imagining two Big Ten teams getting into the playoff, so Wisconsin are likely just aiming for a New Year’s Six bowl. They will try to remain undefeated next week against a surprisingly-ranked Northwestern team.
Northwestern Wildcats Game Notes
Northwestern redshirt senior WR Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman caught eight passes for 86 yards with three touchdowns in a 27-20 win on Saturday over Purdue. It might be hyperbolic to say this comes out of nowhere, but, this came out of nowhere. Chiaokhiao-Bowman had just 11 catches in his previous three games, but he was the go-to option on Saturday. Consider this: Chiaokhiao-Bowman (6’2/203) hadn’t scored a touchdown since 2017 in his redshirt freshman season. The Boilermakers clearly were surprised by his useage, as well, and he found the end zone from 8, 18, and 5 yards out, respectively. We’ll see if Chiaokhiao-Bowman is this involved next Saturday when the 4-0 Wildcats take on Wisconsin.
Wisconsin vs. Northwestern Betting Prediction
The Badgers are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games versus the Wildcats and are 1-5 against the number in their last six trips to Evanston. Wisconsin has also failed to cover in nine of its last 13 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in its previous game. Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games overall, are 27-7-2 against the number in their last 36 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and are 10-4-3 at the window in their last 17 games coming off an ATS win.
