(STATS) – In an oddity, Butler’s 2019 schedule includes the only two unbeaten teams in the FCS last season.
The Bulldogs will open the season on Aug. 31 against two-time defending national champion North Dakota State at Target Field in Minneapolis. Three weeks later, they’ll travel to Princeton, the unbeaten Ivy League champion which didn’t participate in the FCS playoffs.
The two difficult games are part of a 12-game schedule, which includes six at the Sellick Bowl.
Butler finished 4-7 overall, including 2-6 in the Pioneer Football League, under coach Jeff Voris last season.
