Clemson’s Bowden agrees to extension amid reports he talked with Arkansas

 

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -Clemson coach Tommy Bowden has agreed to a contract extension amid published reports he was talking with Arkansas officials about its coaching vacancy.
“I’m very pleased with the contract extension agreement that we reached today,” Bowden said in a university release issued Tuesday.
Details of the extension were not immediately available.
Bowden has a 69-41 record in nine seasons at Clemson. The Tigers (9-3) play Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Dec. 31.
