FBC–T25-LSU AT NO. 1
BATON ROUGE, La. – Amazingly, LSU is going a game ranked No. 1 for the first time since 1959. But this is hardly some johnny-come-lately team. Starting with Nick Saban and continuing through Les Miles, the Tigers have built a dominant program that already has shared one national title and has it’s eyes on another. FBC–COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOCUS
NEW YORK – College football coaches want their opponents to play a guessing game. Will a hurt player play or not? The NFL tries to remove the mystery with an injury report. In college football injuries are often cloaked in secrecy. It’s an environment that could leave the sport open to corruption by gamblers who are willing to pay for inside information. FBC–RUSHING RECORD.
OMAHA, Neb. -R.J. Bowers didn’t think his all-time rushing record would last forever. He just didn’t figure it would be in jeopardy so soon. Danny Woodhead of Chadron State last week went over the 7,000-yard career mark, making him and Bowers the only men to accomplish the feat in college football. If Woodhead runs for 121 yards for the Division II Eagles against Western New Mexico on Saturday, he’ll pass Bowers’ record of 7,353. By Eric Olson.

FBC–T25-CAL’S DEFENSE.
UNDATED – In the Pac-10, defensive statistics often have to be adjusted for inflation. That’s why the California Golden Bears felt good about their defense even after conceding 497 yards and 24 points in a 31-24 victory over Oregon last weekend. By College Football Writer Andrew Bagnato.
