-Tim Tebow, Florida, ran for a school-record five touchdowns and passed for two more scores in the No. 17 Gators’ 51-31 victory over South Carolina. Tebow was 22-for-32 for a career-best 304 yards and ran for 120 yards.
-Colt Brennan, Hawaii, tied the NCAA career mark for touchdown passes, throwing his 121st before he was knocked out of the game, as No. 14 Hawaii remained undefeated by holding off Fresno State 37-30. Brennan completed 28-of-39 for 396 yards and two touchdowns before he left in the fourth quarter.
-Marcus Henry, Kansas, had a career-high 199 yards receiving and three touchdowns in the No. 5 Jayhawks’ 43-28 victory over Oklahoma State.
-Joe Ganz, Nebraska, set school records by throwing for 510 yards and seven touchdowns in a 73-31 rout of Kansas State. His seven TD passes were the most for the Cornhuskers since Eric Crouch had five against Iowa State in 2000.
-Colt McCoy, Texas, passed for 269 yards and four touchdowns and ran for two more scores, leading the No. 15 Longhorns to a 59-43 victory over Texas Tech.
-DeMarco Murray, Oklahoma, ran for three touchdowns and scored on a 91-yard kickoff return to help the No. 4 Sooners roll past Baylor 52-21.

-Ben Mauk, Cincinnati, threw for 276 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score to help the Bearcats beat No. 16 Connecticut 27-3.
-Knowshon Moreno, Georgia, broke 100 yards rushing for the fourth straight game, finishing with 101 yards and a pair of scores in the No. 10 Bulldogs’ 45-20 win over No. 18 Auburn.
-Bobby Sewall, Brown, rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns, caught 18 passes for 141 yards and threw a touchdown pass, leading the Bears to a 56-35 victory over Dartmouth.
-Kevin Smith, Central Florida, carried 41 times for 320 yards and four touchdowns, leading UCF to a 45-31 victory over UAB.
-Paul Smith, Tulsa, threw for 313 yards and five touchdowns to help the Golden Hurricane beat Houston 56-7. Smith holds school records for single-season (3,496) and career (9,367) yards passing.
-Zach Amedro, West Liberty, threw for 518 yards and five touchdowns in a 70-43 win over Seton Hill.

Top-ranked Ohio State’s record streak of 20 Big Ten wins was snapped with a 28-21 loss to Illinois. It was the first time the Illini had beaten a No. 1 team since 1956, and the first time they had done it away from home. … No. 8 Boston College allowed 472 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-35 loss to Maryland. It was the most points the Eagles have allowed in an Atlantic Coast Conference game since joining the league in 2005. In addition, the nation’s top-ranked rushing defense (58 yards per game) surrendered a season-high 135 yards, even though the Terrapins were without their leading ground gainer. … Wisconsin’s 37-21 win over the No. 13 Wolverines snapped Michigan’s eight-game winning streak. The loss doesn’t eliminate Michigan from a Rose Bowl appearance, but the Wolverines have to beat Ohio State next week – something they haven’t done since 2003. … Cincinnati defeated the only unbeaten team in the Big East with a 27-3 win over No. 16 Connecticut. The Bearcats’ eight regular-season wins are their most since 1993. … Anthony Johnson returned an interception a school-record 100 yards for a touchdown, and Mississippi State became bowl eligible for the first time since 2000 with a 17-12 upset of No. 21 Alabama. The return broke Jack Nix’s 70-year-old mark of 97 yards and gave the Bulldogs a 10-9 halftime lead.

Kansas (6-0 Big 12) moved to 10-0 for the first time since it finished the 1899 season with that record, and is the only unbeaten team left in the six conferences with an automatic bid to the BCS after top-ranked Ohio State was upset by Illinois earlier in the day.
OFFENSIVE ONSLAUGHT
Navy and North Texas set a major-college record by combining for 136 points in the Midshipmen’s 74-62 win. The previous record for college football’s top tier of competition was 133 points in San Jose State’s 70-63 win over Rice on Oct. 2, 2004. The 94 first-half points, and the 63 combined points in the second quarter, both set major college scoring records. The previous record for points in a half of a major college game was 76, set by Houston and Tulsa in 1968. The old mark for a quarter was 61, by San Jose State and Hawaii in the fourth quarter of a November 1999 game Hawaii won 62-41. … Three Northern Iowa players rushed for over 100 yards in a 68-14 drubbing of Indiana State. The Panthers had 662 yards of total offense, including 404 yards rushing. Darian Williams ran for 115 yards, Derrick Law had 105 and Taylor Brookins added 101 yards.

Notre Dame lost for the school-record ninth time this season, falling 41-24 to Air Force. It was the largest margin of victory for the Falcons in six wins over the Fighting Irish, who lost to Navy in triple overtime last week. The last time the Irish lost to two military academies in the same season was 1944.

Harvard beat Penn 23-7 to set up a showdown with archrival Yale next weekend for the Ivy League championship. The Crimson and the Bulldogs, who beat Princeton 27-6, are both 6-0 in the league going into The Game for the first time since 1968.
