(STATS) – Although attendance in the FCS playoffs is well behind past seasons, Friday night’s South Dakota State at North Dakota State semifinal-round game drew this year’s postseason high of 18,286.

Add in the 7,529 for Eastern Washington’s home win over Maine on Saturday and the four-round, 22-game total is 168,142.
A banner crowd will greet finalists North Dakota State and Eastern Washington when they square off Jan. 5 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
This is the sixth season since the playoffs expanded to 24 teams in 2013. Last year’s 23 playoff games drew 222,424 fans and the all-time record for attendance is 258,066 in 2015.
