(STATS) – Illinois State quarterback Brady Davis has been granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA, effectively resetting him to a junior athletically.
The Missouri Valley Football Conference learned Tuesday Davis will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Before transferring to Illinois State last year, the Columbus, Mississippi, native, sat out the 2015 season as a true freshman redshirt, missed the 2016 season due to a left knee injury suffered in a late preseason scrimmage and played in one game in 2017 at Memphis.
In his first season at Illinois State, Davis passed for 1,935 yards and 19 touchdowns in 10 games and was the runner-up for the MVFC newcomer of the year award.
